The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended a 16-year-old boy, Ademola Bolu, for allegedly stealing aluminum roofing sheets valued at N180,000 from Christ Light Deliverance Ministry Church in Orile-Ilugun, Odeda Local Government Area.
The command’s spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Saturday, January 18, 2025. She revealed that Bolu, along with two accomplices who are still at large, was found in possession of two sacks filled with the stolen roofing sheets, which had been cut into pieces.
“A report was filed at the station indicating that a suspect, Ademola Bolu, male, aged 16, and two accomplices now on the run, were caught with sacks containing aluminum roofing sheets belonging to Christ Light Deliverance Ministry Church. The materials, worth N180,000, had been cut into smaller pieces,” Odutola stated.
Following the report, police detectives swiftly arrived at the scene, arresting Bolu while his accomplices managed to flee before law enforcement could apprehend them.
Odutola further disclosed that during interrogation, Bolu confessed to the theft, and the stolen items were recovered.
An investigation is currently underway to track down the remaining suspects and bring them to justice.
