The singer and ordained RCCG pastor breathed his last on Easter Saturday, April 19, 2025, after a brief illness, according to a statement released by his family on Saturday.
“With heavy hearts, we announce the homegoing of our beloved Bolaji Olarewaju — Big B — a man whose life was a song of praise, purpose, and love,” the statement began.
“His influence stretched far beyond the pulpit and the stage. He was a dedicated family man, a shepherd of souls, and a beacon of joy through music.”
The family noted that though his physical presence is gone, his spirit and legacy will continue to echo in the hearts of those he touched.
“As we walk this path of grief, we appreciate your prayers and understanding. Burial details will be communicated in due time. We thank you for respecting our privacy.”
